SO AFTER TAKING THE UPTOWN MEETING, WE GET NEWS THAT THE MAGAZINES GOING TO PUT ME IN THE SUMMER ENTERTAINMENT ISSUE IN JUNE. THEY SAY KANYES ON THE COVER! ANOTHER GREAT LOOK FOR YA BOY... SO NOW RUNNING ON DAMN NEAR 5 HRS OF SLEEP IM HEADING TO THE AIRPORT TO HIT MI - YAY - O AND TAKE THESE PHOTOS AND KICK IT WITH MY FAMILY, AND A FEW OF MY HOMEBOYS FROM ROUND THE WAY... 

THOUGH I LOOK SLEEPY, IM HAPPY TO BE HEADING HOME AND OUT OF THAT COLD ASS WEATHER... SEE YOU WHEN I LAND... GW "THE RULER"

SO AS IM IN THE STUDIO I GET A CALL FROM MY MANAGER TELLING ME THAT WE HAVE A MEETING WITH GREEN LANTERN. (EMENEM, AND 50 CENTS ROAD DJ, AND MIXTAPE MESSIAH) GOOGLE HIM... HE'S PUT IN WORK. SO ANYWAY WE SET THE MEETING UP FOR 8 PM... BUT IN THE MEAN TIME IM TRYING TO FOCUSED!!!! CLASSIC IS MY AIM... THIS PROJECT NEEDS TO BE A SUCCESS, MY LIFE AND FAMILY'S WELL BEING DEPENDS ON IT. ANYWAY I WRAP IT UP AT THE STUDIO AND JUMP ON THE TRAIN TO HEAD UP TO THE NEXT STUDIO TO MEET GREEN LANTERN. 

GOT THERE, PLAYED HIM SOME MUSIC FROM THE RULER'S BACK, HE FCUKS WITH THE MATERIAL AND THATS BIG FOR ME BECAUSE HE'S WORKED AROUND THE BEST. SO NOT ONLY DOES HE LIKE THE MUSIC, HE CHOSE ONE OF THE RECORDS "DYING TO SURVIVE" TO BE PLACED ON BARAK OBAMA AND RUSSELL SIMMONS POLITICAL HIPHOP CD. IM STILL THANKING GOD FOR THAT ONE AS I TYPE. SO WE GO ON TO LISTEN TO SOME BEATS TO PICK FOR THE ALBUM... HE PLAYS ME A PLETHORA OF SCORE LIKE BEATS WITH GREAT INSTRUMENTATION AND SOUL SAMPLES, BUT ONE IN PARTICULAR STOOD OUT. A BEAT THAT HE HAD ORIGINALLY MADE FOR AND REQUESTED BY YOUNG JEEZY GRABBED MY ATTENTION AND I IMMEDIATELY WENT INTO A HOOK THAT I HAD BEEN WORKING ON FOR A SONG TITLED "PRAY FOR ME" A SONG WRITTEN ABOUT MY MOMMA PRAYING FOR ME AND KEEPING THE DEMONS AWAY THRU OUT MY LIFE! HE HEARD IT AND LOVED IT.  LONG STORY SHORT THE NEXT DAY I RECORDED IT, FEATURED THE LOVELY SUMMER JOHNSON  ON THE HOOK AND SENT IT, AND HE (GREEN LANTERN) THOUGHT IT WAS SO CRAZY HE WANTED TO SELL IT TO A CERTAIN ARTIST WHO SHALL REMAIN UNNAMED, BUT BEING THAT THE SONG WAS SO DEAR TO ME I REFUSED THE OFFER AND KEPT IT FOR MY OWN ALBUM... CANT WAIT TO LET YALL HEAR THAT... ITS AN AMAZING RECORD. SO THE NEXT DAY IM OFF TO MIAMI TO TAKE MY PHOTOS AND FINISH THE RULERS BACK AND GET IT TO PRESS AND OUT TO THE WORLD BUT BEFORE I LEAVE I HAD TO TAKE A MEETING AT UP TOWN MAGAZINE WITH QUINN SMITT (CHIEF EDITOR)... ITS BEEN A WHIE SINCE IVE TOUCH THE KEYS OF MY COMPUTER TO SHARE MY PROGRESS WITH MY PEOPLE... SO I BROUGHT GOOD NEWS, GREAT MUSIC, AND A FEW PICS TO GET YOU THROUGH THE DAY.
SO THIS WEEK I STARTED MY DAY OFF WITH A FRESH HAIRCUT, SO I LET MY NIG DEE TIGHTEN ME UP...  GOT TO KEEP MY FLY TOGETHER DIG ME?

SO I HIT THE VILLAGE IN NEW YORK TO GO SHOPPING FOR MY PHOTO SHOOT BACK IN MIAMI. FRESH TO DEATH, YES!!! SOMEBODY BURY ME!!!!

SO ANYWAY AFTER A FEW HRS OF SHOPPING I FOUND ONLY 3 PIECES AND A DOPE PAIR OF LEVIS 501'S.

AFTER A SHOPPING ITS TIME TO GO TO WORK ON THE RULER'S BACK ALBUM... (SHOUT OUT TO SLICK RICK, THE INSPIRATION TO THE TITLED) SO I WROTE A RECORD CALLED DREAMER WHICH IS MY CONFESSION OF THE THOUGHTS THAT SWIM AROUND IN MY HEAD ON A DAILY BASIS. DREAMING OF THAT DAY I CAN PUT MY MOMMA IN THAT MANSION SHE ALWAYS WANTED... DREAMING OF THE DAY WHEN I CAN BACK OUT THE GARAGE IN THAT 360 DROP SPYDER. (LOOK IT UP IF YOUR LOST). OR THAT DAY WHEN I CAN GRACE THE STAGE AT THE GRAMMYS AND GIVE THAT ACCEPTANCE SPEECH THATS STARTS OFF LIKE "FIRST OF ALL ID LIKE THANK GOD"! I NEED THAT... Studio Session - The Ruler Is Back

So today we continue recording for "The ruler is back" project. Thats me and super engineer Justin... Hes great on the boards... You see me in that thick as prada scully and a hoodie because It was 28 degrees in new york today, im from dade county... thats arctic to someone from miami. So anyway we got 3 records done today, "long time coming" which has made its way to the intro spot of the album, the ever so controversial "Nigga" interlude which is a treat to listeners of any race, color, or creed as long as you love good music!!!! Then last we did the crowds favorite, headline news, which touches on everyday people who chase fame until it turns around and bites them in the ass... More and more im starting to write every song as if it were a novel, or short film... Every record has a statement, every record has life. and the more i do so the more i realize how there isn't much substance in hip hop these days. It doesnt take much to get a deal... A dance and a chorus and you good money to the labels... but i dont shit on anybody, any man getting money to feed his family is alright with me... So anyway, back to ME... Im stirring up a classic, get your ipods ready... GONE!

MTV REALITY SHOW - THE BEGINNING

So today I'm up bright and early, 7:30 am on the 5 train in new york headed to MTV (the cool windowed studio you see on TRL throughout the week) to take my second meeting with one of the networks big dogs. Sorry there was no post for the first meeting, i had to kind of keep that one under wraps till i knew for sure that all systems were a go. We sat, did our small talk... you know the hey how are yous and what not... finally we get down to business. The Show! I presented my program proposal to him today, and his response was exactly what i expected... Ladies and gentle men... Looks like our show might have a home after all. but there's still a lot to be done. So I, along with the film crew and Black Lyon Media staff will be flying back to Miami to shoot the first episode/pilot in march which will feature some one Miami has grown to respect very much. There is much to be expected in this show, and i promise the viewers will not be disappointed. No clues, no hints, no bullsh*t... just big money and even bigger things popping... so when the show finally kicks off, i will reveal all that i am allowed to you people, but until then lets just keep things on the quiet. so kick back and enjoy the blog till next time.... New Year, New Attitude, New Money...

To all of those who aren't familiar with me or my line of work i am Ghostwridah... Recording artist/Writer/CEO of Fresh. I started this blog titled "The Making Of Me" to share my progress through out my career with the people of this place called earth. I am currently working on my solo effort titled "The Ruler Is Back" which is due late February on my own label Black Lyon Music Group (BLMG). I'm more than 40 % done and i feel as if i have a classic on my hands, but then again every artist feels that way about their project, at least they should. I am also working on my first network TV show pilot which should also be wrapped up and ready for reality war towards the end of February also on my own company Black Lyon Media. With everything said above you should be able to understand my aim in this business. If not, its simply to be one of the greatest moguls of my time, and you get to come along for the ride. my ups, my downs, good times and bad. This... Is "The Making Of Me".
