MY CITY NEEDS CHANGE SO I'M TRYING TO BREAK A DOLLAR...

So yesterday Lowkey and I had a meeting at one of Miami's biggest record labels... Which shall remain nameless.
Anyway I walk in the door running about 10 minutes late due to this great Miami traffic we all love so much. When I arrive I run into a pretty well known producer and we build for about 15 minutes while I'm waiting on one of the record labels A&R's. Turns out he knew me from a while back. So after exchanging contacts with the producer the A&R finally comes out. We walk thru the office and all I see is pictures, plaques and magazine spreads all over the place of artist I have nothing in common with and I'm thinking how would I fit here. I mean I'm NEVER THE ONE TO WORRY ABOUT FITTING IN because I don't give a shit. I'm not the one to change to make someone else happy... If you don't like who I am then politely remove yourself from my space! So we get to the back office and they put my music on... As you all know I do my best to make nothing less than quality music so the response off the bat was good. We play about 9 tracks of straight fire including songs i've written to sell to other artist.

So far the meeting is going well. Mind you I'm not looking to sign with this label unless they made me an amazing offer but other than that I have my mind set on another label which I know will allow me to be ME! This label shall remain nameless as well until the record deal is done. So anyway long story short i was told "everything sounds great, now all you need is that big girl song to blow the rest of the label heads away" I thought to myself... What ???? I just played you better records then any songs your current rap artist have produced and all I get was a speech about how I need a girl record. So I am politically correct about his comment and replied "I appreciate your time and we will see you soon." Now granted I know that women make up about 80 percent of sales in the record industry and believe me ladies I will have music on my album for each and every woman that enjoys my music... No disrespect to plies but you won't be hearing a bust it baby song from GhostWridah, EVER!!!

So in conclusion I learned that my city has become accustom or content with the caliber of music that comes out and to me there's so much more to MIAMI than DOPE, HOES, MURDER & SOUTH BEACH! So from this day on I'm making it my business to GIVE MY CITY THE CORRECT CHANGE! This is not a dis, or a shot at any Miami artist. I got love for damn near all the entertainers in my city... I LIKE AUTHENTIC RAPPERS!!! I LIKE BRISCO, THE HUNGER IN HIS TONE WHEN HE RAPS IS CRAZY... I LOVE THE NEW RICK ROSS ALBUM... TRICK, SMITTY, PM... the list goes on. I just feel I there is a window for my music that hasn't been opened and it's about time for some FRESH AIR! Thanks for reading... I'm gone

P.S. TO LOWKEY ONE OF THE WORLDS GREATEST PRODUCERS NOT KNOWN (YET)... OUR TIME IS NEAR BROTHA!
WINNING WITHOUT THE COMPROMISE OF ONES SELF IS ONE OF LIFE'S GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
